De'Lara's mother, De'Mara was born into a house of no real significance and power in Menzoberranzan. De'Mara and her sister Zalhandra attained the rank of Yathrin in reasonable time. On a surface raid gone awry, De'Mara was captured and traded as a captive. After several such trades and travel over some distance, she was turned over to followers of Eilistraee. De'Mara could not escape and failed to kill herself. De'Mara mated with a local male wizard named K'Roth, giving birth to a male O'Dell and later to a female De'Lara.

O'Dell and De'Lara grew up in the atmosphere of the followers of Eilistraee. O'Dell was educated as a wizard and De'Lara was educated as a priestess of Eilistraee. Secretly, De'Mara taught De'Lara the ways of the Drow. O'Dell was a more mild tempered type who developed into a quite competent wizard. De'Lara was more calculating and harsh tempered, still developing into a priestess of Eilistraee.

For years, De'Lara listened to intelligence reports and plotted her escape. Each bit of information helped ensure her success. Finally, one day, on manuevers below ground, surfacers mistakenly identified the party as hostile drow and attacked the party. In the confusion, De'Lara managed to slip away.

De'Lara made her way to Szith and began to learn more of the ways of these drow. The information from her mother was invaluable. One day, De'Lara thought she saw her brother O'Dell. Speaking to the male drow revealed some common family history. Oddly enough, De'Lara was not alone in this strange city.

De'Lara studied the teachings of Lolth and attained the rank of Yathrin. She grew in power and joined the ranks of the house Morcane.

Recently, in a trial of a young male drow, De'Lara acted as the Persecuter (Prosecuter) and Moriand "Spiderbait" Morcane acted as the Defense counsel. Valsharess Mas'Futo Mori'hyanda was present with Ulathtallar Bel'drana Mori'hyanda presiding. As is customary with drow trials, after witnesses were brought forth and testimony was given, the defendant was found guilty and executed. As is also customary, any other participant in the trial could be found guilty... the jaluk Dezz Dev'Lin "The Golden Jaluk" will have his head shaved in some upcoming public ceremony. The actions of Moriand and De'Lara so impressed the Valsharess, that Moriand and De'Lara were asked to be the Valsharess' legal team in an upcoming matter.

Perhaps some day De'Lara will return to the place of her birth...

Hmmm... Somehow I missed this one before. Is O'Dell also in Szith?

O'Dell is not in Szith. He is soft by Drow standards.
