Overview

This was a highly charged event, 3 parts over several days in which Ilharess De�Lara Morcane did not take center stage, allowing other members to shine more brightly. This written account of the events attempts to capture the imagery, flavor and emotion of the RP but it likely falls far short of that goal.

The only real detractor experienced during the event was the actually whipping where the one whipped was struck through an attack; resulting in a reciprocated attack. Next time the actual whipping attack will probably be replaced by RP and more detailed emotes.

Overall, the participation, interaction, teamwork and RP by all were exemplary. Character emotes added considerably to the imagery, flavor and emotion of the RP. Great job all!

Part 1: Eve at Q�os, Complications

In the central Szith area, TaskMistress Eve approaches De�Lara and kneels. After some time De�Lara responds and asks if Eve has any news to report. Eve is visibly distraught over something. Still, De�Lara orders Eve to report.

Eve tells of being on her mission to lure kivvin to Qos. Eve is at Q�os speaking to some kivvin, Razlo when Nawen happened by, referring to Eve as rothe. Eve is most uncomfortable, quite sure that her cover is blown. Later on the surface, this Razlo confronts her with the accusation of being a slave of the Drow, a spy. Eve is horrified; her fears are confirmed; she must somehow eliminate Razlo.

Eve knows of an assassin through Valenfor Darkleaf. She contacts this assassin who does hunt down and kill Razlo. Some ritual is performed on Razlo which wipes his memory of the event at Qos. Razlo is eventually released. Eve continues on her mission to report to Ilharess De�Lara Morcane.

Part 2: Yathrin Xi�Shae Morcane: A Disciplinary Task

Yathrin Xi�Shae Morcane,

It has come to my attention by way of Taskmistress Eve, that our operations have been unnecessarily placed in jeopardy by a careless jalil, Nawen. Eve and some kivvin, Razlo were speaking at Q�os when Nawen happened by, referring to Eve as rothe, inferring that Eve was her or our rothe. This later led to complications in the mission for which extraordinary actions were required. Disaster was averted, thus saving the mission.

Include Anya in this task as part of her training. In the lower level of House Morcane, administer to Nawen a reminder of the importance of discretion in the form of a whipping.

Yathrin Xi'Shae Morcane reads the contents of the message, a slight smile crosses her face; she closes the letter; then departs to find Anya.

Part 3: Discipline at House Morcane

Nawen walks in to House Morcane, noticing all eyes on her. Yathrin Xi'Shae is front and center with the young Yathrin Anya; flanked by Qu�el�faeruk Rizzen and the kneeling rothe, Teer. Ilharess De�Lara stands off to the side. Yathrin Xi'Shae makes a comment about some error Nawen may have spoken. Nawen appears nervous and unsure, seeing all eyes on her. Yathrin Xi'Shae continues to inquire; Nawen seemingly not knowing what the inquisition is about, becoming more apprehensive by the moment. De�Lara suggests that after this lesson, Nawen may be more attentive to detail, that her memory may improve. The young Yathrin Anya closely watches the conversation looking back and forth between Yathrin Xi'Shae and Nawen as they speak. The Ilharess silently observes the questioning; for the most part expressionless. Rizzen and Teer watch; Rizzen holds his tongue; the rothe Teer knows better than to speak. Tension is high.

Yathrin Xi'Shae had said Nawen would be questioned then disciplined. This is not encouraging at all to Nawen as she hopes it is all some mistake. Gradually the questioning proceeds as Anya watches on grinning with anticipation, wanting to punish Nawen for her error. Finally, the topic of Nawen meeting and speaking to the rothe Eve at Q�os is brought up. Nawen, crestfallen, realizes a comment she made is now of horrible importance. Whether she remembers is or not, Nawen is forced to admit making the error. Now, punishment awaits Nawen.

Yathrin Xi'Shae looks to De�Lara for confirmation, which she gives with a nod. Yathrin Xi'Shae then orders Qu�el�faeruk Rizzen to take Nawen to the lower level for punishment. Rizzen steps forward, taking Nawen, leading her to the lower level. De�Lara, Xi�Shae, Anya and Teer follow.

Nawen is nervous but has resigned herself to this punishment. Still she hesitantly approaches the whipping station as Rizzen orders her. Rizzen positions Nawen, removing her shirt and shackling her arms.

Yathrin Xi'Shae produces a whip which elicits a particularly wide grin from Anya. Anya so would like to punish Nawen, but she is forced to watch like the others. Yathrin Xi'Shae takes her position while Anya takes a few steps closer for a better view; the others watch on. Yathrin Xi'Shae tests the whip in a cracking motion. Nawen feels a sense of nausea from the anticipation; a rather uncomfortable look is upon her face.

Yathrin Xi'Shae speaks of Loth and punishment and how Nawen must endure. Nawen is told to inform the Yathrin when she feels she has learned her lesson. Yathrin Xi'Shae strikes Nawen with the whip; Nawen recoils. Again and again Nawen is struck with the whip. The others watch the beating. Nawen wants to cry out but hold her tongue. The welts can be seen forming on Nawens back; eventually blood flows. Finally, Nawen cries out in pain, that she has had enough.

Rizzen asks De�Lara if she wants the rothe Teer, to prepare snacks or a meal after the whipping. Hardly disturbed, De�Lara affirms that refreshments will be served after the whipping. Rizzen orders Teer to prepare food and drink; Teer scurries off to the kitchen.

Yathrin Xi'Shae motions to Anya to approach. Anya�s eyes light up; a grin appearing on her face. Yathrin Xi'Shae gives Anya the whip to administer punishment. They both look to De�Lara for acknowledgment, to which De�Lara nods in the affirmative.

Anya prays fervently to Lolth for might in disciplining Nawen; the determination can be read on her face. Anya augments herself in final preparation and speaks of Lolth and the pain that Nawen will feel for her disobedience. A look of deep concern comes over Nawen�s face who had hoped her pain would soon be over. Anya continues to administer punishment as more welts appear and blood flows from Nawen�s back. It is as if all know it is enough as the action pauses; De�Lara gives a nod and Yathrin Xi'Shae proclaims the punishment is concluded. De�Lara announces that refreshments will be serverd; attendance is mandatory. The shackles are removed from Nawen and she is cleaned and dressed.

The entire group gradually moves up to the kitchen where a meal has been prepared. Teer is busy at work at the stove various pots boiling, putting finishing touches on setting the table. Teer collects the goblets and pours wine, careful to keep her eyes caste downward. Small talk ensues and eventually all are seated.

Before eating, De�Lara gives praise to Lolth, as do the others, adding to the praise. The eating commences as well as dinner conversation. Various topics are covered from the prospect of acquiring new slaves to the Ulathtallar dispensing punishment in various forms to certain heretics. After all is concluded, Teer clears the table and begins washing the dishes in readiness for the next meal� a rothe�s work is never complete.

Life goes on in House Morcane; the punishment for Nawen is over and accepted; it is not mentioned nor dwelt upon.

A great composition and wording, Felnak, of the events you mentioned and the characters involved! What kind of work do you do in real life? Journalism? Multimedia? Writing books? I dont think think there is anything I can say to make it better Razz

But, as of my response here, I believe there is yet another, what shall I say, noteworthy event, that needs to be dealt with which happened in Q'os, hehe. . .
