| Cys chose her alias in part to the climate she was in, in the past; and part of the difficulty of most people to pronounce her real name. Even for a elf, it is a tongue twister. She came from a place were a wizard tower was tyranical about magic. Forcing anyone with a significant spark of magic to join them, or face torture of not just the body, but soul. Cys had no interest in either of those options, and thus chose to practice magic in secrecy. Showing just enough magical potential to make a fortune selling potions, but not enough to attract the wizards. She eventualy joined a group of assassins, who had no organization whatsoever. Takeing advantage of the poor coordination, she was able to get jobs without revealing that she was among them. She was a agent X. Through carefull actions, she was able to partialy coordinate the group without revealing herself. The more showy members were given the "leadership position" to mask her. A puppet leadership wich she enjoyed. Through carefull moves, she spent several weeks gathering enough information to infiltrate the wizards tower. She waited for days upon days, and finaly slew her target in a gloryless attack. There was no magic thrown, no running around. Just a swift kill. Pleased with her work, she altered the scene to appear as a accident. Her work was appearantly convincing, and the tower was forced to replace the archmage with a less competant wizard. With no one of significance to keep her interest, Cys traveled the underdark untill she came to Szith. |
