TGMIAOS
Moriand or Spiderbait as he was known in his younger days, was born a second male into a lower house of no importance, upon his birth he was seen as phyically small, weak and sickly. With his mother proclaiming.
"This one will be useless for my ambitions, i'll be suprised if he even lives!perhaps I shall use him as spiderbait to appease Lolth! Get him out of my sight while I think upon his fate"
So the story goes from what he has been told and called for a majority of his time within his family's walls, Luckly for Moriand he was spared the fate of sacrifice and later grew to show a keen intellect qualifying him for the potential as a apprentice mage, but who would sponsor him?
You should by now know the answer, Quella Morcane of course, 2nd house of Szith. He was spotted by one Unebriel Morcane, patriach of said house who protected him from the other "so called" nobels of house Morihyandra. He was later to learn he was the only mage Morcane had! therefore he eventually became the Qu'el'faeruk ((house mage)) by default
Morinad first came to attention with the sziths nobels by swindling a large amount of gold and precious gems out of a rivvil mage named Asteroth ((whom he later found out was the archmage of the arcane guild in mountains deep!!)), this came about because ths silly rivvil wanted a meeting with the Val'sharess of Szith, of course Moriand played him like a guitar demanding suitable payment, for he was a male of no importance and to deliver a message to the imperial Queen of szith would take some bribing and calling in of favors.
Natually Morinad never delivered the message and spent months avoiding Asteroth or Aste'rothe ((the prize cow as Moriand liked to call him)) untill he got the attention of the Valsharess and she had to deal with Asteroth, who was constantly upset for some reason that he had been made a fool by a young mage. Fortunalty the whole affair pleased the Valsharess and Morinad was allowed to keep what he had stolen.
Moriand was plaesed with the way things were going, he had grown with respect and infamy ((but some still called him Spiderbait)) and was becomming a mage of some power, when a young jaluk named Rizzen came upto him asking to learn from him, at first Moriand thought "another nuisence" but then saw the potental, decided to sponsor him as his apprentice.
Eventually the apprentice Rizzen grew strong enough and wanted to challenge his master Moriand for Qu'el'faeruk, Moriand thought for a moment, he only got the position because he was the only mage and was reluctant at that, he smiled to Rizzen and simply said "its yours, i dont want it, iv more important things to do then waste my time on such trivial matters" so the appentice became the qu'el'faeruk and Moriand was pleased, free to persue other ventures.
It was about this same time that Moriand started talking to a dirty rat, arguements and heated discusion could be heard most of the time, some Drow were to say that Moriand was acting odd, most ignored it untill it was too late....
"The Day of the Chicken"
A most dramatic day for Moriand, one he does'nt regrett but see's as a challenge, a long story short, Morihyandra had usurped the position of Archmage of szith from Rizzen, due to Rizzen being absent for a short time, natually Moriand disagreed and accoused the "harlet Morihyandra" Jabress of spreading false rumors about, and well.... at that precise moment he turned her into a chicken, thats right a white feathered, ground scratching, pecking Chicken!
A suitable form he though for a jabress who did'nt have the courage to face Rizzen and take his position as was the way in szith. Unfortunalty he did it right in the city centre, to the amazment of the gathered nobels..
"Oh no Moriand you've done it again" he was heard to say to himself. He proclaimed his innocence stating that she was "hatching" a evil plan, but it did'nt work and was sentanced to death upon the ulter ((rather unoriginal he thought at the time))
Dragged to Arach Tinilith, complianing all the way, he was being prepared for death when he "hatched" his own escape plan. The dirty rodent whom he has had many a heated philosophical discussion with, jumped out of his many pockets of his robes and ran out the doors carrying a soulstone. And with a quickly mutterd farewell and a waving of some arms, disapeared, vanishing from the temple.... banishing himself to exile from Szith
Oh the chaos, the anger the embaressment of the priestess of szith could be heard in Q'os, and there sitting on a rocky ledge talking to a rat was Moriand "Spiderbait Morcane, plotting his next great feat of infamy!!
