Nawen Xiluisurr has been in Szith for several seasons now and is adjusting to her new life there well. Some of the veteran warriors, yathrin and others have helped her out a lot along the way so far. Although still a young jalil, not having many seasons of combat or training, she is growing stronger. Still being a shebali, she is somewhat naieve about Szith politics and the rivalry between the 3 drow noble houses. Some from the younger drow from the noble houses of both Mori'yhanda and Morcane have allowed Nawen to go out on patrols with them.

Two drow that Nawen had been patrolling and training with were Amenia and Bel'drana, both from the house of Mori'yhanda. They told her that they were undergoing certian trials, though they did not say much about what they were. . .

Then one day, after a long and grueling time of training and patrolling, Nawen meets Maya Mori'yhanda, a jabbress of some position in the Ust House, but Nawen did not know what that position was, still being a shebali at the time. But Nawen was anxious to help out others somehow and was looking for some work. So Nawen accompanies Amenia and Bel'drana to the front of thier noble house. She is not allowed in though. Maya steps through the door outside and greets Amenia and Bel'drana and then turns to greet Nawen kindly. After a short conversation with them, they seem impressed with Nawen and her progress and skill thus far. And after finding out that Nawen is looking for some work and willing to help in some way, Maya tells her that there may be something that Nawen can do. So the three Mori'yhanda's tell Nawen to wait outside for them while they go in and discuss some house matters.

Whe she was waiting for them to come back outside, Nawen begins pacing around, sensing that something big is about to happen. She becomes a little nervous and tense, but is still anxious to help out her friends. Soon, Maya, Amenia and Bel'drana come out of the house and calls Nawen over to them. They tell her that she is to be a messenger, to warn all the drow that she can about surfacers being in a town called Qo's and that they are heading towards Szith! Maya tells Nawen to spread the word to all the drow that she can and to tell them to go to Qo's to meet and fight the surfacers. So Nawen went out and sounded the alarm and spoke to all that she could about all available drow warriors, faern and such to go to Qo's and stop the surfacers.

After rushing around for a bit, Nawen finally calmed down for a moment. She took a few deep breaths and checked her pack and readied her weapons and made sure she had some healing potions. Nawen had joined a large group whom she assumed was going to Qo's, then she ran to the teleportation device in Szith to port to the leader of the group. Nawen entered the teleportation device area and ported away. . .

After getting to the area the device ported her to, she looked around. . .it didnt look like an army of drow ready to meet and fight the surfacers as she had been told! She saw that she was in a beautiful and elaborate room, with a throne at one end and Maya, Amenia, and Beldrana were there. Nawen looked at the one on the throne and realized it was the Il'haress of house Mori'yhanda, Mas'Udon! Nawen suddenly became frightened, realizing where she was and knowing that a shebali like her should not be here! So she used her stealth ability she had learned so far and went to a corner of the large room. It was far enough away from the Il'haress and the others, but close enough to be able to overhear some of what they were saying. . .

Nawen could not understand all that they were saying, but it looked like Maya and the others were telling the Il'haress about the surfacer threat in Qo's and were seeking Lolth's and her help and blessing in the fight against them. Then Nawen stealthily walked over to the far end of the room for what she hoped would be a safer position for her. All of a sudden, she heard the sound of a battle! Maya, Amenia, and Bel'drana were attacking the Ilharess! It did not take the three of them long to overcome the Ilharess, as they also had the advantage of surprise against her. Nawen stood at a distance, watching in surprise and amazement at what she was seeing. Nawen saw the Ilharess slump to the floor. After Maya, Amenia and Bel'drana had a few quick words with each other, they proceeded to leave the room. Nawen stealthily followed them from a distance, hoping that she would not be seen. They finally made it to the front door of the noble house and Nawen slipped out also just before the door closed and snuck off a distance away, still shocked at what she had witnessed. . .

After a few moments, Nawen snuck away from the noble house area. She wanted to be by herself, to reflect on what had happened and wondered what to do next. She looked to the cave entrance of Abburth and saw a couple Drow warriors come out. Nawen ran to the warriors and asked them how the battle at Qo's went with the surfacers. They told her it was a false alarm; there was not an army of surfacers there heading to Szith. . .

Nawen thanked them and ran off to the residential district. She wondered about Amenia and Bel'drana, whom she had become friends with while training and patrolling. She was still tense and nervous. To her surprise, she saw that the massage parlour was still open and decided to go there and get the best massage she could get. She felt better afterwards, and decided to go back home to her rented apartment. She wondered about what to say to Amenia and Bel'drana next time she saw them. . .She made a cup of sweet mushroom tea and drank it, then went to bed, pondering on all that had happened and what she should do about it.

After waking up and getting herself ready for more training and patrols, she thought that she should go see Amenia and Bel'drana. Nawen went to the Szith center and saw Amenia and Bel'drana there. Nawen asked them about how the battle went at Qo's, and they told her the same thing that the two warriors she saw last night said, that it was a false alarm. Nawen faked a little expression of relief and smiled slightly. Amenia and Bel'drana told Nawen to follow them to thier house for a reward anyway for her service in being a messenger. Nawen followed them to the house, they gave her some gold, potions, and a couple of items for her training. Nawen smiled and thanked them, and, to herself, was also smiling because apparently they had not seen her at their house, witnessing their assasination of the Il'haress. It was then also, that Nawen knew that her training in stealth was paying off. She knew it was best not to say anything about it though. She pocketed the gold, put the potions they gave her in her pack, said aluve to Amenia and Bel'drana and went to her apartment. After thinking about what had happened, she realized that her noble drow friends used her messenger service and this false alarm as a diversion to what was really going on. . .the assasination of their Ilharess! But she thought to herself, "I got a reward out of it anyway, and they didnt see me, otherwise Amenia and Bel'drana would have said something. And my stealth training is paying off!". She looked in her mirror and grinned to herself and checked out the things that were given to her, got herself even better prepared for another day of training and patrols, and went her way. . .

((Wow... so actually there is someone who have witnessed the assassination... Too danegrous to admit it! ^-^))

((Some time ago, Nawen has been seen a number of times associating with Bel'drana and Amenia. Several times, Nawen has also let slip a too familiar greeting with the Ulathtallar! De'Lara helped Nawen break that habit but will remember... My, what a tangled web we weave!))
